Diane,
not sure if you're speaking of data contributed by researchers at large,
or data generated by the project (such as the census
tranxriptions)....but I do feel if someone contributes data, for
example, to Vance Co's GenWeb ARchives, that they shouldn't be copied by
the project and uploaded to other places in our Archives without asking
the contributor first.
I'm not at all sure you were speaking of this, so don't mean to imply
you were... your comments made me think to mention this anyway.
We would *do* this out of courtesy, anyway, whether it was "required" or
not <G>. After all, we have an image to protect...we WANT researchers to
like us and to share what they can with the project.
