Ron;
I did not in effect give him a pardon for a non-issue.. As I said earlier I
was only playing the devil's advocate. I was trying to be objective and this
was the way I saw it.
What happened to you is a entirely different matter. I am sorry that it did
and I agree that you do have a very good grievance. I have not turned into
a turncoat as some think.
I was reading a earlier response from Tim before I got to your message. If
this was so as he stated, then the blame should be rightfully given to where
it belonged and that would be the publishers of said magazine.
I am not playing up to the Board for being a candidate for secretary. I
volunteered for that position because I thought that I might be able to help
bring the project together.
I do not always agree with what the board does, but I try to be objective
and to see both sides. That was what I was trying to show.
We don't need the anger or vindictiveness that has been shown in this
project. Change is needed to make it honorable once again.
I haven't changed my views. I may see things a little different then
others, but we are all in this together and that is for the common good.
What Tim does is his own business. Whether or not I get the position as
board secretary is moot. At least I volunteered for the position to get
some changes done. Where were the rest when the position was posted?
If we want changed we have to work for it. If people only want to gripe and
groan then maybe they had better get out of the project and find a different
hobby. Change doesn't come easily and most don't like change.
I am getting off my bandwagon. Everyone have a good evening.
Goodnight!
Esse

Esse et al,
The issue is nothing more than attending to a situation that demanded HIS
attention. Whether it was about plagiarism or marbles. She wrote to him
about something that bothered her that had to do with something posted to
USGW lists. Whether it was you or I or Ms. Brown, they deserved a timely
answer and if an apology was appropriate, then so be it.
Prior to his furor about a certain Special Projects incorporation, his
attention was directed at that same Project for a lesser sin. His statement
to all in de-linking that Special Project on that occasion was because of
their "alleged" failure to respond in a timely manner to their email. This
was unfounded and unproven but it was his excuse for doing what he did.
Yet you pardon his example as a non-issue.
He de-linked a Special Project for the same reason, yet you think he is
justified?
Someone has lost sight of something more important.
Equality.
I don't care what you do with him. He's no scapegoat. He's a teflon man.
What you and I do, is all that matters.
What he does is okay, because ignorance is bliss. Whether he knew or not,
the lady deserved a response.
I am not perfect. That's only a dream. I miss emails too. But I try.
And one that impacts the entire Project, and is well known, deserves more
than,
nothing.
Ron
