I play around with shtml and other codes, but don't use them except as paste
in code, as in counters or roll over text or highlighted buttons.

I played around with frames and use them on two sites, but find editing a
real pain.

I have played with CSS and will probably do more with that function.

Mainly I want webpages to load fast and not distract researchers, but I have
a great deal of fun with transition pages, as in
http://irelandgenealogyprojects.rootsweb.com/ This is a fun touch.

I check all new pages with at least two browsers just to make sure they will
display well.

But you can get wonderful special pages with html and dynamic graphics, as
in:

http://www.rootsweb.com/~sctbew/history/vikings.htm This is a page hard to
forget, but don't overdo it.
