Hi, this is my first post to this list, but I've been paying very good
attention to this discussion. I am on the Advisory Board,
representing SE/MA region, but first and foremost, I am an CC.

I do believe that the USGenWeb Project needs to have some sort of
policy statement concerning the posting of information about the
living. I think the wording of this statement has to be carefully
considered. I'm not for a bunch of rules and regulations either - and
for the record - I have obituaries on my websites (left in their
original form).

But that said, I don't think it is of genealogical importance to post
birth records from the 1990s. I think it should be possible to come
up with a basic policy on basic records - or at a minimum, a policy
statement that captures the heart of what we are trying to say here.
