Subject: New Seat

Well, we now have a duly made and seconded motion to hold a special election
to fill this seat. IMHO that is the fairest way to handle this...and some
see it as the only way....I don't know about that.
However, it is known that this will take awhile...at least a month or a
little longer. In order to have continuity of representation, Roger says
that an interim person can be appointed by the AB.
Another person has indicated that it might take the wisdom of Solomon to
sort it out.
Okay...I'm not Solomon...but, if I remember correctly he was going to cut a
baby in half and give half to each of the two women who were claiming the
baby was hers.
If we cut the two former reps. in twain, we come up with four parts to put
in one seat...that won't work 'cause we don't know what to do with two
parts.
But, what if we sew the two together....and put the newly created one part
in the newly created one seat. There would still only be one vote to come
from that seat, so they'd have to agree on how to cast it....but in the
interim special projects would be represented by special projects people as
well as the RAL. There would still be two sets of hands and two
mouths....so they could both speak on any issues that came up and if they
disagreed, their demeanor would have to remain civil or they would split
apart at the seams.
