If you leave your PC on during an electrical storm and you get a direct
strike on your electric line, and the PC isn't fried, then the surge
protectors are working. <grin>
Kidding aside, does your surge protectors also protect your telephone lines?
If you have a dial up connection, isn't the telephone line plugged into
your computer and wouldn't this also make it susceptible to damage? Also,
what about those of us who have cable connections. Would they also be
routed around the surge suppressor and also be a point of potential damage
to our computers?
I'm asking because I don't know. I would like to know, so if anyone out
there has answers let us know.
Now, I just shut the computer down and hope.
