New to the list & new to tracing my family tree. Looking for information on
any
relative who may or may not be alive and possibly be in the vicinity of County
Cork, Ireland. My father, Francis Joseph Ryan (b. Mar2,1888, Cty Cork,
Ireland, d. Apr 5, 1971, Melrose Park, IL, USA) was born in County Cork,
Ireland, to Bartholomew, (any & all dates unknown) and Bridget Ryan, (maiden
name & all dates unknown). My father departed Ireland to join the British or
English Navy/Army in WW1. After the war he was hospitalized in England, for
gassed lungs (dates unknown). He later worked as a fisherman & worked his
way to St. Johns, Nfld. Unfortunately neither myself or my sisters has ever
had contact or correspondence with any of our relatives who may still be in
County Cork, Ireland or where-ever. My father & mother, (b. Apr 1902, St.
Johns, Nfld., d. Oct 1986, Jacksonville, AR.,USA) immigrated to USA in 1923.
