David
Burials in the Springville Cemetery are listed.
I have about 10 ancestors buried there including Edwin Watts and both his wives.

Do not blame the Archives for the short coming of the entries.
The entries were submitted by the sexton of the cemetery and if he/she doesn't submit the changes
you're talking about, the burial database won't be changed.
At least that is the way I understand it.

Back to a better subject
Do you still have your webpage for Wills, if so what is the address?

Mary,

This is not intended to put you down on this good site - but want
you and others to know of the shortcomings of this site.

Read on.

Not up to date. PLUS errors aplenty! They got all my Samuelsen family
mispsplled as Samuelson in Utah's largest cemetery - Salt Lake City
Cemetery. And not only that, not all in that cemetery are recorded.
Gravemarkers are very clear spelled as SamuelsEn. I got the sexton
office to correct all my family errors. EVERY ONE! But the errors
were NOT reported to this State Archives office. Errors are still
there after 3 years.

Limited information, too. Will not go beyond the dates and location of
plot. Not even relationships.

The search results will not go beyond first 100. Must refine search
further.

Not many cemeteries are recorded at this database.

Plus, the link you gave is a bad one.
correct address is
http://webapps.dced.state.ut.us/burials/execute/searchcemetery

The problems?

1. You must use Advanced Burial search method to find any surname in
any cemetery. Otherwise, the basic search don't work.

2. Not all cemeteries as listed have databased included yet. I checked
for Kanosh Cemetery, NONE listed, including the most well known
family in Kanosh Cemetery - WATTS. NONE. Hamilton - not listed because
Springville, Evergreen, Orem, Midway, Charleston, and Heber City
cemetery databases are NOT included yet. In case of Provo, very
incomplete - they listed 2 when I know there are more than 20 of them.
They depend on VOLUNTEERS to transcribe, walk or whatever is needed
to be recorded.

Taylorsville Memorial Park is not included yet. 3 years now.
Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley is not listed. 3 years now
and already has over 100 burials (located at 13001 South 3600 West,
Riverton)

Smaller cemeteries are worse, they are mostly not included.

Good example of missed cemeteries - Willard City Cemetery isn't
listed at all. It's an active cemetery. The Willard Pioneer Cemetery
is listed.

Efforts are already underway to photograph EVERY grave markers in
several cemeteries. A portion of Salt Lake City Cemetery is already
photographed as well as 3 other cemeteries in Salt Lake County
alone. Plus 2 cemeteries in southern Utah.

Known cemeteries that have been photographed, Roy City, Camp Floyd,
Kanosh, Ferron, B'Nai Israel, Fort Douglas, Granite City, Montefiore,
and Union cemeteries - all that had been made known or reported to
me.

Not only that, I am looking for volunteers to transcribe from old
surveys done between 1930s and 1969. The old surveys are equally
good as today because of the conditions of gravemarkers, particular
white marble tablets being eroded.

And also volunteers to walk the active and closed cemeteries having
no records or needing updating of records.

Requirements for photographing gravemarkers:
digital camera with 10 sec timer, tripod to hold the camera, soft nylon
brush, wet sand in pail (necessary to be able to see the engraving in
some gravemarkers), water to drink, water mixed with ammonia spray to
clean off some gravemarkers.

Absolute NO NO - shaving cream!
