The Denver, Rio Grande & Western tracks you see in Thistle are the main
tracks that run from SLC to Grand Junction, CO.
The fact remains there aren't any branch tracks that run south through
Sanpete County from Thistle. The Salt Creek fire is a long ways from
Thistle and not threating the tracks that I'm aware of.

The only place I've seen mentioned of Thistle being threatened is on this
list by you.
None of the media has mentioned Thistle.

I check all those local news. The Denver, Rio Grande & Western is still
running, on new tracks. I saw the train going by last year when I went
past Thistle, toward Turner Rest Area, the tracks split east of Thistle,
running south and other through tunnel to Spanish Fork.

The primary freight is usually coal, turkeys and sheep.
