You can't go through what used to be Thistle anymore, you have to go
further east to get around the landslide, go down and go west on other
side of the river to where Thistle crossing used to be and go back on
Highway 89.

This is from Utah Fire Info site (utahfireinfo.gov)

Salt Creek fire is just south of Utah/Sanpete county line in
Juab/Sanpete county area, just uphill from Indianola. Hwy 132 is where
the fire is on both sides with part of Nebo Loop in it. Already over
18,000 acres burned, 15 percent contained.

Single track Railroad run rough parallel to Hwy 89 to Ephraim where it
split in two, one through Moroni and other through Manti.

The fire is spreading northeast toward in direction of Indianola Valley.
This valley begin with Thistle and end just south of Indianola Valley,
north of Fairview.

Evacuation orders issued for Holiday Oaks, Oaker Hills, Indian Ridge and
Elk Ridge areas.

Structures threatened in Holiday Oaks, Oaker Hills, Indian Ridge, Elk
Ridge, Indianola and Fountain Green.

Roads closed: State Hwy 132 through Salt Creek Canyon. Nebo Loop Byway
is closed from intersection of Loop Road/Santaquin Canyon Road, south to
Salt Creek Canyon. Payson Lakes campground is north of the fire.

Indianola Valley is the narrowest point of "Sanpete Valley", on west is
Uinta National Forest where the fire is and just across valley is
Manti-LaSal National Forest. And Indianola is about

Thistle creek begin as North and South Fork, and become one just east of
Indianola, and traverse north side and turn north to Spanish Fork River
at Thistle. Driving time is only 20 minutes - 15.52 miles

And the smoke from this one is already visible in Salt Lake City.
