Carol, I hoped I would get a reply from someone in the Hill family, but never expected it would be a cousin in England!!.

At this point we don't have any thing concrete to tell you. This situation was just noted on Saturday. It upset both my mother and me so much that we have thought of little else since. Something will have to be done and soon. I wish the original headstone could be redone, but it may be too costly or improbable. We will have to have some input from a gravestone company if we can. Hopefully we can get some idea by the time of our Daniel Hill Maughan reunion in July.

I am hoping for more responses. I will keep your message and if anything develops, I will get back to you.
