Hello...is there someone out there that lives in the Duchesne or Vernal area
that could help me?
Quick rundown on what I need....my grandparents were one of the first people
to buy land from the reservation that had been put up for sale. Three
children were born in the home they built, one of them being my dad. In
1976 my folks took my 12 year old daughter on a trip & they went to the "old
home place" & my daughter was shown the original house, which was still
standing. She remembers the name "Bottle Hollow" being associated in some
way and knows the Piute Resort was close in the area. Apparently someone
had just purchased this property & had built a new home but said they
weren't going to tear down the old house. My daughter is going to take me
on a trip to Utah in July & would like to show me the house. And, I would
really like to see it.
My request is this...is there anyone out there that, if I scan & send a map
of what she remembers, can possibly tell us where to go? We could drive up
& down the roads for hours & never find the spot. (And I want time to spend
in the Vernal Cemetery where lots of my relatives are buried.)
As in most of my quests, my questions come too late for people to give me
the answers. My dad died in 1977.
Would certainly appreciate any assistance you can give me.
