My grgrandmother, Elizabeth Sturgill Lane, b 19 jan 1844, d. 5 jan 1928, wife of Robert M. Lane lived on the border of VA and NC. Her son Leander Lane lived a few yards away in NC. I have not found Elizabeth in any of the various census of NC (1910, 1920), so she must be listed as living in Grayson co. VA. She would be living alone as her husband Robert died in 1916.
Would someone please do a search for her?
