Looking for more information on Marseen Davis, b. 15 Nov 1840, Marion
County, VA. Son of Silas T. Davis and Eleanor Brummage of Roane County,
WV. Marseen served the Confederate Army in the 17th Virginia Cavalry.
He was captured, 16 Nov 1863, Roane County, WV. Served 19 months in
Federal prisons. Married Mahala(Mary) Maise, 5 Oct 1865, Calhoun
County, WV. Second marriage to Florence Maise, 20 Sept 1872, Wirt Co.,
WV. Marseen appears on the 1890 Veterans Census in Jackson Co., WV.

Known child of Marseen Davis and (1.)Mahala(Mary) Maise:

Romanza Davis b. 1868, WV

Known children of Marseen Davis and (2.)Florence Maise:

Strawder(?) Davis b. 1874, WV

Cora Davis b. 1879, WV

* Could also have a daughter Marcena Davis b. 1881, Jackson Co.,WV,
married Robert Aliva Jones 18 Oct 1903,
Jackson County, WV


Marseen Davis' first name has appeared as Marsine and Marcean. Marseen
Davis has ties to Marion and Harrison Counties. If you have additional
