Helen Gertrude Michael Tennant, 84, formerly of Daybrook and Fairmont Arbors,
died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at Wishing Well Health Center.

She was born Oct. 28, 1914, at Fairview, daughter of the late Learney and
Bertha Mae Wilson Tennant.

She is survived by a son and spouse, Ralph and June Michael, of Fairview; a
daughter and spouse, Linda and Allen VanGilder, of Morgantown; four
stepchildren and spouses, Kester and Louise Tennant, of Fairview, Jack and
Louise Tennant, of Westover, Jim an d Frankie Tennant, of Ravenswood, and
Fred and Jeanie Tennant, of Reedsville; five brothers, Learney Tennant Jr.
and Dwayne Tennant, both of Blacksville, Homer Tennant and Billy J. Tennant,
both of Fairview, and Stanley Tennant, of Fairmont; four sisters , Marjorie
Kiger, of Fairmont, Violet Conner, of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Lloyd (Mavis) Lantz,
of Fairview, and Jean Berry, of Mount Morris, Pa.; and two grandchildren,
Cheryl Michael and Christopher Layman.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Willie “Red” Michael;
her second husband, Willie Coleman Tennant; a sister, Pansey Lowther; and
five stepchildren, Ruby Michael, Florence Helms, Ruth Toothman, Joann
Williams and Donley Ike Tennant.

Friends may call at Domico Funeral Home Curry Chapel, Fairview, from noon-9
p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday, Oct. 17, until 2 p.m. service with Pastor
Louise Tennant officiating. Burial will be in Daybrook Cemetery.
