-- STEWART, the NY dry goods prince, owns four theatres.
-- The supper for the 7th Regiment ball in New York will cost 450,000.
-- The sale of articles in the dead letter office is taking place in Washington.
-- Human fingers are among the contents of the Chicago hydrants.
-- Gen KILPATRICK left New York for Chili (sic) on Saturday.
-- Ladies wigs were found in abundance in the dead letter office in Washington.
-- On Friday, the Government ceded 152,000 acres of swamp and overflowed land to Illinois.
-- Generals WEITZEL and BARNUM have resigned. The latter was recently elected State Prison Inspector in New York.
-- A girl in a paper mill in Bangor found a ring composed of 30 diamonds, among some rags she was picking.
-- A man who had been five hours in his coffin in New York awoke just in time to escape burial.
-- The Maine State prison contains 72 prisoners, costs over $16,000 a year, and supports itself by their labor.
-- It is stated that at least $10,000 a day is yet received at the OMahony palace in Union Square on account of the Fenians.
