Behind a Bank of Flowers - Many Graduates Assembled on the Howard University Stage
Behind a bank of flowers in Chapel Hall of Howard University last night were seated the graduates of the normal and preparatory classes. The exercises opened with music, followed by a prayer. Addresses were made by graduates of the preparatory class. S. James DAVIDSON discoursed of Intellectual Benefactors, Dennis F. GRACE spoke of True World Power, and James W. MORRIS took for his subject Patience Its Results.
Rev. Dr. William A. BARTLETT, who was to deliver the address to the normal class, was not able to present and his place was filled by Rev. George M. COREY, of Metropolitan M. E. Church. President William W. PATTON presented the diplomas. The graduates were:
