SNIP-SNIP!!
To Raymond,
Unfortunately, your own reply and correction of me personally was posted to this
list, so you violated your own position! My list was not directed at any one
person, so I do not feel that I was hurting anyone.
I accept, in fact I welcome, diversity, fast, slow, whatever. That does not mean
that diverse people cannot agree to be civil, courteous, and even friendly and
use some common sense in how they post things to mail lists. Would you try to
talk on the telephone with food in your mouth, or hand write a letter in the
dark?
Since you chose to reply on-list I will just close by showing that you proved a
perfect example of one of my Peeves. Your reply included the complete text of
Digest V98 #251 which amounted to 21K of memory, which could have been only 1 or
2K if you had snipped off the part which did not apply, as I have done above.
Some mail lists in fact limit messages to 10K or less so as not to waste disc
space on the list servers.
Sincerely,
Don READER
