>>Where is Courtland, Va?<<
Courtland, Va. is located just southwest of the shallows of Black Water
River.
It is a small town located on US 58 between Franklin and Emporia, Va..in
Southampton Co.. Soy beans, peanuts and corn are grown there.. Cotton was
once a major crop, infact there used to be a cotton gin in Courtland, Va..
Timber and pulp wood are major forest products.. Electricity is widely
available at present, so people don't have to use lighterwood knots for
light in their homes.. Those who still heat their homes by wood stoves and
fireplaces still use lighterwood to start their fires.. Hope this
information Helps!
