William and Julia Poythress of Greensville Co VA are in my ancestral line thru my father.

They appear in the 1860 Greensville Co Census as "Wm & Julia Potis" as:
Household 309
William Potis 33 Sawmilling
Julia 29
James 8
Joseph 7
Thomas 5
Jane 4 (my ancestor Martha Jane)
Benjamin 1
Martha Brewer 50

Lewis Y. Poythress (age 40 or 60) & wife Mary (age 50)appear on the same page of the 1860
Greenville Co census in Household 312. (I'd have to check back, I believe this would be Lewis Y
. JR) (bottom of Image 44 of 58 on Ancestry.con for 1860 Greenville Co)

William Poythress was still alive in 1873 when his son James got a marriage license. When
Martha Jane got married in March 1880, only Julia is listed as her parent.

Questions:
1. Does anyone know who the parents of my William Poythress was? I am not aware of anything
showing Lewis had a son named Willliam
2. Does anyone ahve a William Poythress that died between 1873 and 1880?
