I'm searching for the parents of my Grandfather JOHN NORMAN WOODSON he had a brother JAMES WOODSON wife ETTA ? and another brother I heard mentioned by the name of ARTHUR [sp] recent information from a grandson said they were from Roanoak, City or County I'm not sure, he doesn't show up on the 1880 census for that area. I would appreciate anyone going thru the 1880 census for any county to see if they come across a WOODSON see if they had a John and a James children. JOHN NORMAN WOODSON was born in 1870 and died in 1914 in Camden, NJ where he and his brother JAMES had moved around 1890, their is supposed to be several siblings also. James and wife Etta had a son born in TN. in 1892. This has been a real brickwall. Any help would be appreciated.
