Subject: [VAAMHERS-L] Cooksey and Mason Families

I am hoping someone might be researching this family and be able to tell me
if William D. and Susan Cooksey Mason either died or moved to another county
following their marriage March 10, 1810 in Amherst Co. VA. It is my
understanding that Susan Cooksey was the daughter of Miles Cooksey and
Susanna Lanier of Amherst County. I have been unable to locate William D. and
Susan Cooksey Mason in any of the counties of VA and am hoping someone can
help me. I have found that our Thomas Mason's parents died when he was a
small child. I do know that he named his first son William D. Mason and we
also have the name Susan in our lines. I would be happy to share the
information that I have.
