Looking for any info on Robert W. Smith b 1830 in VA. He is said to have
come from the Lynchburg or Elon, Amherst Co, VA area. He was a drill sharpener
and worked on a tunnel that was to connect SC and TN. He lived in SC after
the Civil War. He married Cassie Chandler and raised a family near Pelzer,
SC. He died 1905 in SC. Any help appreciated.
