Seeking verification of the parents and other relatives of Margaret "Peggy"
West (b. 1780s VA)who married James "Wilson" Medearis (b. Middlesex Co,
VA) in Amherst Co on 12-19-1803, with bond by Francis West. DAR lists Peggy
as daughter of Francis West, b. 1757 VA and d. 1812 TN. Also supposed sister
to Sarah West (b. 1780s VA) who married Benjamine Medearis (b. Middlesex
Co, VA), James Wilson's brother.
After marriage, Peggy and Wilson moved to Charlottesville, VA until 1819,
when they moved to Knox Co, TN. Wilson served in the War of 1812 from Albermarle
Co.
