Ann, I am a McDaniel of Amherst Co., VA descendant but also noted that
you mentioned the Walton name in your query. I had a great aunt named Sharlie
Walton Tucker whose mother was Ida McDaniel (through Geo. McDaniel). My
great aunt was always called "Dolly." I always wondered about the name
Walton and so am curious to know how it weaves into the McDaniel line.
