Marlene,

The Benjamin Hartless that I believe to be my gg grandmother's first husband,
is probably the son of Nancy Staton and William Hartless. That is unconfirmed
as there appear to be about 4 Benjamin's around during that time. William
and Nancy did not have any children named Eli or Levi and there was a Nancy
Hartless born in 1805 that married an Elias Martin, but again no children
named Eli or Levi. There also was a Nancy Hartless born about 1780 that
married a William Wilson, but I do not have a list of their children.
