Judy,
Our Charles Martin married Joice Tomlinson 19 Nov., 1810 in Amherst County, Virginia. They moved to Giles County, Virginia around 1850, we think. Their children were:
1) Reason Martin(B. ABT. 1823 Amherst, VA; D. abt. 1892)
2) James Washington Martin B. abt. 1825 Amherst, D. abt 1899
3) Lizah Martin B. abt 1827 Amherst, D. 29 Nov. 1899
4) Powatan Martin b. abt Mar.1827 Amherst, D. 15 Aug.1864
5) Charlie Martin B.5Jun, 1831 Amherst, D. abt 1896
6) Bettsie Martin B. abt 1832, Amherst D. abt 1875/95
7) Nancie Alice Martin B. abt May 1833 Amherst D. abt 1897
8) Napoleon Martin B.2aug. 1835 Amherst D. abt. 1916
9) Sarah Frances Martin B 22 Mar., 1828 Amherst D.4 Dec, 1912 Stoney Creek, Giles Virginia
10) Juliann Martin B. abt 1837 Amherst D. abt 1879
11) Mary Jane Martin B. abt. 1838 Amherst D. abt. 1895
12) Kate Martin B. abt 1840 Amherst D. abt 1897
Sarah Frances Martin married James A.R. Kirk 16 Feb., 1853. They were living in Giles County at or shortly afterwards. We, too are looking for Charles (born abt. 1790)'s parents and siblings. Where did you find that he was born in 1788?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheryl
