Does anyone have the 1800 census for Amherst Co., Va.? According to a Bible
my cousin found our GGG grandpa, Charles Michael Davis was born in Amherst
Co., VA. in 1797. Was hoping they were still there in 1800. The bible says
his parents were Charles William and Sarah Elizabeth Davis, does not give any
more info on them. Was hoping there weren't too many Davis's in Amherst in
1800, at least with a male child under 5. Charles William could have went by
Charles or William.
