In the 1820 census of Amherst Co. Va. there are 10 Carters listed, 60f which have children of that age. Inm order to make more progress on this I need to know more. When William moved to these other states if possible. The first census to show siblings names is 1850. Of that census there are 34 Wm's in Ky, 36 in Ind., and 20 in Mo. Have any more information ? Dates ? I think my family is related to one of these Carters in Amh. also.
