I am a descendant of Samuel Peters and Mary Taylor (ggggg grandparent's).Zachariah Taylor (b :1739 in Goochland,VA) married his first wife Loranna Morris in 1760 at Goochland Co. VA. He married his second wife Prudence Peters in 1781. Mary was a daughter of this marriage.
Here is the beginning of the Taylor line in America.
William Taylor(b:1599, England) emigrated from England to Virginia in 1655 with his son John, who was sixteen years of age. John Taylor( 1619-1698) died in New Kent ,VA. I do not know the name of the spouse.
John Taylor's son, James Taylor, married Elizabeth?.
They had a son named George Taylor who married Lucy?.
Zachariah Taylor is the son of George and Lucy Taylor.
To my knowledge, Zachariah Tayllor is not related to President Zachary Taylor. If he is, it is a distant relationship.
