It is now just a country road named "Coolwell Rd.". It runs on a meandering path on the east side of Route 29. It starts about 3 or 4 miles south of the town of Amherst in an area known as Faulconerville and terminates at Route 29 at the north end of Madison Heights. There was once an Inn there with a stage stop. The inn still exists, but is boarded up.
