Dear Mrs. Stinnet,
Since the 1860 census shows that William Angus, age 79 ,and his wife
Elizabeth , age 65, are living together, elderly and alone in the house, it
would appear he did NOT marry any second wife in 1854.
(unless they married, and then he remarried his original wife Elizabeth
again)

Could this 1854 marriage be for a William Jr, the son of the William b.
1781? (sandmot connects William Angus, Jr to Lucy Ann Cash, d/o James T.
Cash and Harriet MAYS)

I guess you already looked in the cemetery books to see if they are listed
together somewhere, William and Elizabeth?

The Mary Angus (who married Angus Bates) I am looking for, could either be
daughter of William Sr, or daughter of William, Jr, or any other son of
William Sr.

Since I was told that the children of William Angus all left the area to
settle in Giles Co TN.
I did collect all the names of Angus households there in the 1860 census.
I don't know if this man is related, but here is what I found, which could
possibly be a SON of William Angus and Elizabeth Fulcher:

1860 Lynnville, Giles Co TN
Gustavus Angus 53 yrs, Farmer, b. KY
Susannah 53 VA
Gustavus (Jr.) 21 overseer TN
Stephen Folles 33 blacksmith TN
Frances MAYS 75 VA (blind)

This above listing tells me that Gustavus has married a Susannah MAYS,b.
1807, and her elderly, blind Mother is living with them in 1860 census.
That is the inpretation I read from it.

If anyone has any ANGUS sons, please post it here, or email me directly.
I will continue to follow up on this and report back to you Mrs. Stinnet,
Best regards,
Lilly Martin
