I am a greatgranddaughter of Samuel Vincent Watts. While researching his brother, Thomas Nelson Watts, I ran across a Thomas N, Nelson on the 1910 U.S. Census, Natural Bridge District 113, Rockbridge Co. Virginia. He is listed as 66 yrs. old, married for the second time to Fannie L. Watts. If my figures are correct, this would make this one the same birth year as Samuel V.'s brother. Also, the # of years of this marriage to Fannie is 17 yrs. which would put the marriage a couple of years after Emily's death. The 1920 census for Natural Bridge District lists Fannie L. Watts as widowed and head of the household. My records show Thomas N.'s death year as 1915. I, also, saw where a Fannie L. Watts had applied for a widow's pension from the Civil War. I have been unable to locate Thomas N. on the 1900 census. Does your research show a second marriage for Thomas N.? Would appreciate any help that you can give me.
Thanks,
Elizabeth Nelson
