We all need to be reminded what an evil person Walter Plecker was. Do you
know, he actually was correspoonding in the 1930s with Joseph Goebbels about
how Germany handled it's "Jewish problem". Many Indians in VA were
sterilized because of this man.

My grandmother's family, who were going by the name of Wood in Campbell Co.,
were among the people who were discriminated against by Plecker. Many of
them were listed as Mulatto or Negro on official records, and only recently
discovered this. Plecker made people afraid to talk about their heritage.
Think of the number of people in VA who do not know their cultural heritage
because of this man!
