My great-grandfather, Dr. William Pleasant Thurman was a doctor in the
Confedrate Army and in and around Bedford, VA; one of his sons, (My
grandfather's brother) was Dr. Allen Granberry Thurman, who also was a
doctor in Bedford, Appomatox and Vinton, VA - I have info that he was a
practicing physican in Bedford in 1917 - he died in 1925; I have since found
out that a 3rd generation of Thurmans became a doctor - a Dr. W. Allen
Thurman, Jr. is the way I have come across the name - and apparently he was
a physician in Richmond, VA - this would have to have been probably in
1920's or later.

Anyone know of a Dr. Thurman in Richmond, VA ??? He could still be alive -
or any of his descendants??? Anyone have access to old Richmond City
directories who could do a lookup for me?? Any help/info greatly
appreciated!!!!!!
