Eight persons gathered for almost three hours - and each one
indicated sincere appreciation of the opportunity to meet and share some
experiences as well as areas of family search interest. One couple altered
travel plans and drove several hundred miles to be present. A real trooper!
Family lines represented were Thomas 'the Hatter' O, Thomas O &
Agnes, and [as best we can now tell] a William O line. No great new finds,
but some folks were able to learn more about common locations of ancestors
and similar surnames in relatives that were married. A couple of folks did
bring new detail to be included in the Bedford Virginia Overstreet (BVO)
database.
We discussed and shared the advantages of the Rootsweb Archives and
I feel certain some attendees will be using this wonderful tool soon in
their search. My hope is it will assist them in family extensions and that
in turn they will share with the Bedford Virginia Overstreet (BVO) database.
