If you think about the situation, many of the residents in this
country during that time frame, were of English descent, and
had never known any other type government.

Many of the colonists did not agree with separation from their
homeland,even after the Revolutionary War began. South
Carolina for example, probably had a higher percentage of
Tories out the total population than other colonies..

Most, if not all of Ferguson's men at Kings Mountain were
Tories. There were many more of them altogether in all the
Colonies, than American History would have you believe..
