This information about Native American marriages is very interesting,
Sheila! I have two ancestors who were from SW Virginia (Pulaski County),
and both (a father and son) married Cherokee Indians in Tennessee, even
though as far as I know, neither of them ever *lived* in TN. I was never
sure how it all came about--but maybe this gives me a clue.
