This appeared in the Benton County (AR) Daily Record yesterday (July 21,
2001).

Roy BUCKNER, 83, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at
Beverly Health Care in Anderson, MO. He was born Sept. 29, 1917, in
Carroll County, VA, to Currell Tobaris BUCKNER and Viola Ann MARSHALL
BUCKNER.

He moved to Bella Vista 13 years ago from Pulaski, VA. He was a member of
the Pulaski Church of the Brethren. He attended St. Theodore's Episcopal
Church and was a member of MOST and the Men's Bible Study group. He was a
member of the Neighborhood Watch and was an avid bowler.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Delores BUCKNER; three daughters,
Rebecca FUNKHOUSER of Socoro, NM; Carolyn COMER of Virginia Beach, VA;
and Cynthia LAMIE of Abingdon, VA; a brother, Cecil BUCKNER of Pulaski,
VA; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, July 24, at St.
Theodore's Episcopal Church of Bella Vista with Father Craig E. GAVIN.

Funeral services will be held in Pulaski, VA.

Burial will be at the Thornsprings Cemetery with arrangements by Stevens
Funeral Home of Pulaski.

Local arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Theodore's Episcopal
Church, 1001 Kingsland Road, Bella Vista, AR, 72714.
