Kathryn,

Am Afro-American with Elam roots out of Charlotte County VA. As you go thru
your documentation please be alert for any info mentioned of slave transfer
via Wills, Bill of Sales, etc. My greatgrandfather was named Claiborne Elam
and married, of all things, a woman from Charlotte Country named Kathryn
Smith! (smile) The marriage took place 25 Aug 1866.
