Can you help me sort out a mystery? Trying to identify the first wife of
Henry COX. Henry married 2. Ann MADISON in 1773 in Charlotte Co VA. He had
a son, apparently by the first wife named Taliafarro, named in Roger
Madison's will. Roger was the father of Ann MADISON the second wife. Given
that Taliafarro is said to have witnessed a will in 1776, and Ann MADISON
didn't marry until 1773, then there is something of a mystery.

Henry COX other children from the first marriage include a CURD. Curd COX
had son named RICHARDSON. I am aware of a marriage of Mary CURD to John
RICHARDSON in Henrico Co. Mary is d/o of Edward CURD and ___- I descend
from 3 of thier daughters,,Ann Richardson m. John HARVEY, Frances RICHARDSON
m. Lewis JACKSON and Agnes RICHARDSON m. Lemuel VAWTER. All eventually were
in Charlotte Co. Somewhere there is a connection, as Roger MADISON is the
husband of Elizabeth TALIAFERRO (pre VA Genealogist article by Helen
Admundson). Given that Henry COX married 2. Ann Madison and Ann's mother
was a Taliaferro, how did the first wife have sons named Taliafarro, and
Curd as given names.

Confused..me too!
