Does anyone have information on the Smithson family of Charlotte Co., VA?

I find Sterling T. Smithson and wife, Ermin A. on the 1850 census.

There was another Sterling T. Smithson at this same time in Mecklenburg Co.
Does anyone have information regarding the Charlotte Co. Sterling?

Is there a marriage record for this couple which might include the names of
parents?
