Hi Katherine,
I have met your daughter, particularly regarding your son's deployment
to Iraq. I photographed the rally she helped organize in Lexington for
the troops for The Rockbridge Weekly where I am a reporter.
I am particulary interested in Quinn Morton as he appears as a witness
on some family docuements (can't remember which one right now but it was
a will or a deed.) So it appears he was close to our Wood family. I am
just uncovering the Madison links although I have known about them from
letters written by Robert Venable Davis to the family and about the
history of our family. I believe in was a postmaster in Charlotte
County according to WPA project records from the 1930's. If you haven't
been to the Library of Virginia website page for the Virginia Historical
Survery that has photographs and histories of historic homes in Prince
Edward County, I would suggest a visit.
