Hi Fannie (and everyone),

Perhaps I should explain. I'm Tracy, the Chesterfield County USGenWeb host,
and administrator for this list. I started this list shortly after having
changed the Chesterfield County pages. As most of you have noticed, the Query
System on the page is not using the GenConnect system. Part of that system
allows the maintainer to email the query notifications to anyone who would
like to get updated any time someone places a query. I thought maybe it would
be a good idea for the email list associated with that county to receive one
of those notices. So as I have it set up at this point, this list will
receive a posting from the query system everytime a query is posted. I
thought it might save subscribers time, as they would simply have to watch the
list for new queries rather than looking at the page. The query notifications
are also clearly identified in the subject line.

When I did this, I was the only person subscribed to the list <g> and asking
for opinions here would have done me no good. So, I guess I'm asking now...
is this more of an annoyance for everyone? Do you like this feature? Would
you like it removed? Each of you can do this on an individual basis. So, if
a number of you don't care for it, I can change the setup. Please let me know
what you would like to happen. :-)

<< I'm sorry, maybe it's my computer, but all I've received from this list
is a message saying that something was posted, but no post. Is that the
way this list is supposed to be ?
I thought I'd receive queries and answers, like I do on other lists.
Someone please advise me.
Thanks,
