My maiden name was Osborne (descended from Benjamin and Mary Walthall) and
my husband is a Mackgehee descendant, so I am interested in all these lines.

Osborne was an "adopted" name in my family because my grandfather's mother
died when he was an infant and he was raised by his mother's twin sister and
her husband, whose name was Osborne, so my grandfather changed his name
(from Robertson) to Osborne. The Robertsons and Osbornes apparently go back
a long way together.
