Culpeper Town and County Library is no more.
It is now called the
Culpeper County Library and has changed its
location to new quarters with much more space
and a lot of space-age equipment to make
things easier.

I got this message today from the Director of
the library.

[Our library] card catalog is open to the
public. The website isn't much [just] now.
We opened in March and have had a long period

of adjustment. Our patron count has
increased as much as 2,000 patrons per week
and over 5,000 more items are checked out
each month, so it has taken us a long time to
get a proper homepage set up. [It] should be
up [in the] next week or so.

Yes. Our name has changed. We are still the
same library, essentially, but we now offer
14 public-access catalogs
(computers) and are completely automated. We
have 4 public Internet access computers and
five personal computers for word processing.

We [brought] all of our books with us, and
have starting adding many more, now that we
have the space and the patrons.
