I have just signed on to the list and would like to put my interests out
there to see if there is any information or people doing the same research.

My great grandfather was John Chilton Johnson and married to Sue Hume
(daughter of Charles Hume, decedent of George Hume). John grew up in
Fauquier County. I have traced his father through census records to
Warrenton in 1860 and possibly 1850. It is my belief that William and Sarah
came from Culpeper or at least had relatives in Culpeper since John married a
girl from a family in Fauquier. Also another offspring, Judith A., married a
Colvin which I believe came from Culpeper.

If anyone has any information please let me know. I am planning a trip to
Culpeper court hous to find a record of John and Sue's marraige and
additional records back to Armistead Hume, a revolutionary war vetern.
