First, let me say that I am not disputing the posted story behind "TAPS." I
am under the following impression. When I made a few visits to the
plantation homes on Route 5 in VA, one of the plantations there claims the
fame of "TAPS" being written there. Don't recall exactly which one it was,
possibly the Berkley or Shirley plantation. Anyone else visit the
plantations and here the same thing?

I'm sure I heard this, my husband and I relayed this same information to our
sons when they visited us here in VA from TX.
