Household chores and dinner done....back to gen:

Jett reference (but also spelled Gett here):

William Beverley of Blandfield, Essex County, Esqr., to John Gett of
Culpeper County, planter. Lease of 100 acres, part of Elkwood...corner to
another lott of the said Gett's...For lives of John Gett and Stphen his son
and James Jett his son and the longest liver. yearly rent, 474 pounds of
tobacco on 27 November. If Gett shall work more than two tithables besides
himself, to pay for every tithable beside the two and himself 105 pounds of
tobacco additional rent. John Gett shall keep an orchard of one hundred good
apple trees in good repair well fenced safe from cattle, horses, goats and
sheep and will keep all houses in good repair.

Tapp and Jett mentioned:

William Tapp of St. Mark's Parish, Culpeper County, planter, to my three
loving children, my son William Tapp, my son Vincent Tapp and my daughter
Sarah who lately intermarried John Jett, all of same, planters. for naturla
love, good will and affection. Land in the Little Fork of Rappahannock
River on Deatherage's Run and the branches thereof, bounded as by survey
made by Richard Young, a surveyor.... For my son William Tapp...on the north
side of Deatherage's Run...up a small branch...Colo. Willis's line...by
Duett's Road...in Frederick Fishback's line...crossing Deatherage's Run...at
the great fork of the run...143 acres. For my son Vincent Tapp...north side
the run corner to his brother Wm. Tapp's land...up the south branch...up the
main north branch...corner in Jacob Holtzclaw's line...204 acres.

For my beloved daughter Sarah Jett and her husband John Jett...corner to the
land given to Vincent Tapp on the south side a branch of Deatherage's
Run...corner to Fishback...line of the patent...148 acres. William Tapp
Wit: Wm. Eastham, John Eastham, Robert Eastham, Jr.
20 March 1755. acknowledged by the party.

Jett mentioned (and yes, it appears he calls Susannah Jett his nephew!):

William Edgar of the County of Culpeper, planter, being sick and weak in
body. Unto my beloved nephew Susannah Jett the wife of William Jett one
Negro man named Brichee and one Negro woman named Judah.

Unto David corbin one Negro man named Peter.

unto my beloved God daughter Susannah Mackdonald the wife of John Mackdonald
one negro boy named Harry.

Unto Margaret Ward the daughter of William Ward deceased and Elizabeth his
wife one Negro boy named james.

Unto my beloved nephew Sarah Ranes the wife of Allen Ranes one Negro boy
named Sam.

The first child the said Judah that is bequeatht unto Susannah Jett after
the date of these presents to John Walker's the son of Edward walker and
Mary his wife.

My household goods and moveable effects and stock after my wife's decease be
sold at publick oction and the money equally between Thomas Poiner, susannah
Jett, sarah Ranes, Mildret Walker and David Corbin divided.

My wife Susannah Edgar be not molested but keep, possess and enjoy my whole
estate till her decease.

I likewise constitute, make, ordain my said wife Susannah Edgar my only and
sole executrix.
