Bible records show my g grandfather Robert Thomas BOWEN, born in Va. 5 Nov.
1822. Census records show there
were 50 BOWEN familles in Va. census of 1820. One of them
had to be his parents. The most likely suspect is CHARLES BOWEN of Frederick
County. It was a common practice to
name the first son after the father's father. R.T.BOWEN
named his first son Charles O. Bowen. Other family information says that
R.T. BOWEN was from Winchester
[Frederick County]. R.T.Bowen married Eleanor Archibald Freeman on 20 Feb
1845 in Culpeper Va. He is first listed in
1850 census living in Culpeper with wife and 2 sons. If anyone has him in
their family history, i would appreciate any
information available on his ancestry.
